Synopsis : It is the near future. Astronaut Sam Bell lives on the other side of the moon, completing a three-year contract with Lunar Industries mine Earth the primary source of energy, Helium-3. It is a lonely job, made more difficult by a broken satellite communication which does not live at home. Taped messages are all Sam can send and receive. Fortunately, his time on the moon is almost over, and Sam will be reunited with his wife Tess and their three year old daughter, Eva, in just a few short weeks. Finally, he will leave the isolation of "Sarang," the moon base is his home so long, and he will finally someone to talk then "Gerty," the base is good, but rather straightforward computer. Suddenly, Sam's health begins to deteriorate. Painful headaches, hallucinations and a lack of attention lead to a near fatal accident on a routine drive on the moon in a lunar rover. While back to back basis (without any memory of how he is there), Sam to a younger, angrier version of himself, who claims to be to meet the same three years, Sam began all those years ago. Limited to what seems to be a clone of his former self, and a "support crew" on the way to help the base back into productive order, Sam is fighting the clock to discover what's going on and where it fits into business plans.
